Snow cover temperature profiler made on an anodized and white painted aluminum pole structure with 12 very high precision temperature sensors (Pt100 1/5DIN) placed on adjustable and removable arms at a distance of up to 25 cm from the edge of the pole to assess the minimum temperature differences between the various points.
Measurements start from ground level up to a maximum height of 250 cm.
The arms with the sensors on the head are arranged radially to reduce physical interference between them and thus ensure that each sensor is completely submerged in the snow up to the corresponding level. The robust aluminum structure, fixed to a base by a special plate, is designed for the passage of cables. In fact, all sensors come with 4 cables and can be connected to an acquisition system by means of a terminal block.
