The PL1000 class A rain gauge consists of a cylindrical body made of anodised aluminium with a collection surface of 1000 cm² on which is mounted a funnel-shaped collection hole which, through a filter, directs the water into a stainless steel bucket made with a blade-support system. A Reed contact detects the switching of the rocker arm, filtering any disturbance due to false rebounds. The shape of the mechanical parts has been studied to minimise phenomena that retain or divert the water flow, concentrating it towards the central nozzle.
Also available in the heated version for cold climates (mod. PL1000R) and with MCS module for signal normalisation (0÷2Vdc, 4÷20mA, RS485/Modbus).
