DLI-500 FULL SPECTRUM METER – New for 2022, the DLI-500 from Apogee Instruments is a sleek, easy-to-use device for spot-checking levels of photosynthetically active radiation (PAR; 400-700 nm) and measuring light integral daily (DLI) and photoperiod under all light sources.

Description

DLI refers to the total number of PAR or extended PAR (ePAR) incidents on an aircraft in a 24-hour period, expressed in units of moles per square meter per day (mol m-2 d-1). Photoperiod is the total amount of time that PAR or ePAR is incident on an aircraft during a 24-hour period and is expressed in units of hours (h). PAR, DLI and photoperiod influence plant growth and development and are often measured in greenhouses and growth chambers to aid in light management and decision making. The DLI-500 is accurate under all light sources, but if you are looking for a low-cost option that is accurate under sunlight and only some broadband light sources, check out our DLI-400 model.
