The ability to prepare high-surface, well-dispersed electrocatalysts containing platinum has significantly increased the viability of many electrochemical processes. This new process provides an exceptional high-purity catalyst that is suitable for forming highly uniform electrode structures.
Suggested Uses
40% Platinum on Vulcan XC 72 (carbon) is most commonly used for polymer electrolyte fuel cell (PEMFC), direct methanol fuel cell (DMFC), microbial fuel cell (MFC), and phosphoric acid fuel cell (PAFC) applications (as a cathode catalyst or anode catalyst). It is also used as a recombination catalyst for hydrogen removal. Platinum on Vulcan can also be used as a building block for sensor elements.
