LAQUAtwin Ca‐11 Calcium Ionometer
It is a calcium meter used in a wide variety of analyses and measurements. It measures calcium reliably and is very easy to use. It takes only a few seconds to give a result, making it an ideal instrument for field analysis.
The wide measuring range (40 to 4000 ppm) allows high concentrations to be measured without the need for dilution.
Uses:
- Evaluation of nutrient concentration in soil.
- Evaluation of fertilization efficiency and crop nutrition.
- Sap analysis.
- Food analysis.
- Evaluation of water hardness.
These devices incorporate a flat ion electrode for microvolume measurement. The replaceable electrode uses the same measuring principle as the traditional nitrate ion selective electrode (ISE). It only requires a few drops (0.3 ml) to provide a fast and accurate analysis.
It can be used as a traditional calcium meter by immersing the electrode in a liquid.
An absorbent paper allows us to analyze micro samples from 50 µl.
Main features:
Temperature compensation.
Automatic calibration: recognizes calibration solutions. The user can choose calibrations at one or two points.
Detection of result stability.
Waterproof (IP67).
No reagents used.
Automatic selection of the appropriate range.
Auto shut-off (30 minutes).
Different methods for measurement:
Immersion: You can analyze the sample in a beaker.
Sampling: Use it as a scoop to analyze the water.
Drops: LAQUAtwin meters can measure sample volumes as small as 0.05 ml by placing a drop of the sample on the sensor with a pipette.
Solid samples: Foods containing some moisture can be analyzed by placing a small piece directly on the sensor.
Powders: Simply place the powder sample on the sensor and pour the defined volume of deionized water on top.
Paper and fabrics: If you want to analyze sheets of paper and fabrics, cut the sample into small pieces and place it directly on the sensor. Pour the defined volume of deionized water on top.
Measurement in three easy steps:
* Calibration: For a correct calibration, the sensor must be clean beforehand. If not, rinse it with water and put a little standard solution on the sensor and press the calibration button. A smiley face will appear as an indication that the calibration is complete. Clean the sensor with water until the calibration solution is removed and dry it with a soft, clean tissue.
*Analysis: Only a tiny amount of sample is needed, so it is only necessary to fill the sensor and wait a few seconds until the smiley face appears.
*Cleaning: Always keep the sensor clean.
Sensors should be replaced after approximately 1500 measurements or when calibration cannot be performed. Sensors are sold separately and can be easily removed and replaced.
This calcium meter is supplied with:
2 CR2032 batteries, 1 pipette, Instruction Manual and Quick Start Guide.
Storage case.
Calibration solution at 150 ppm (14 ml).
Calibration solution at 2000 ppm (14 ml).
