The ability to prepare high-surface, well-dispersed electrocatalysts containing platinum has significantly increased the viability of many electrochemical processes. This new process provides an exceptional high-purity catalyst that is suitable for forming highly uniform electrode structures.

Suggested Uses

20% platinum on Vulcan XC-72R (carbon) is most often used for polymer electrolyte fuel cell (PEMFC), microbial fuel cell, and phosphoric acid fuel cell applications (as a cathode catalyst or anode catalyst). It is also used as a recombination catalyst for hydrogen removal. Platinum on Vulcan XC-72R can also be used as a building block for sensor elements and is more refined and has a smaller particle size than Vulcan XC-72.
